P.S. I am not looking amused as I have not yet found my Xmas stocking.....

Butter would not melt in our mouths....

Our beans decided that maybe it was time to put out some Xmas decorations, so we decided to look oh so innocent - well that was until Tommy joined Shrek and Jerry........

Animal Farm, Cape Town - Update

Well, I was not allowed to disturb Tom & Jerry - "The Terrible Twins" - so I sent my mommies out again armed with the cat cam - and guess where they went! They took left-over food and discovered 6x 1 day old piglets. I just had to let them post that here - just to prove that I used to be this size once!

Nap time!

Shrek! BE careful! It's nap time and Tom and Jerry do not want to be disturbed. They have nothing to add to your blogspot. Go look somewhere else for trouble.

"Tis the season to be silly!

A warning to all my feline friends who have been made to look ridiculous by their beans - it's that time of year, called the funny season. Look out! My mommies have gotten "The Look" in their eyes. You know what I mean? The look that says "What can we do today, to create a laugh at Shrek's expense?" This photo is of me in a Springbok supporters jersey. My one mommy is totally rugby crazy. The beans' Springbok team won the World Cup in 1995 and again last year, 2007. They had family from England visiting at the time and they still can't resist rubbing their faces in that great victory. Especially as the Springbok Sevens have won in Dubai and George - again thrashing them Brits big time! (Or so my beans say!). I am just waiting for my cousin Alfie to get on line. But he must wait for his slaves, Rhythm&Blues to co-ordinate themselves to be in the same place at the same time, but this is more difficult than said!
Oh boy, here come my mommies with the Santa suit! But first I post this scenic shot:

This is Table Mountain as seen from Blouberg. Taken by Rhythm&Blues on their 2008 trip to Cape Town.

Oh, and by the way, my beans would like to thank Ann and Zoolatry for making all these wonderful changes to my blog. We could not have done it all on our own in such a short period of time! You girls rock! I just had to re-load my blog list because that disappeared into the ether.

Waterfront Cats

My mommies went to the V&A Waterfront this afternoon to take photos of some of the waterfront cats. They are looked after, sterilised and feed by M.E.R.C.Y. Animal Rescue http://www.mercy.za.org/. My mommies are going to find out how they can help, because these cats are just adorable. There are a lot of other places were my mommies also leave food for 'street' cats.

Animal Farm, Cape Town

OK, so I send my mommies out with a camera to take photos of the 'hood, and they came back with these photos of the animals up at the Animal Farm. They thought it was very funny. I am very pleased that I don't have to introduce myself to any of these funny animals. I see that the puppies are getting up close and personal with them piglets.....

Saturday Chores

When not looking after apples, Tommy guards his mommy's takkies.

It's Saturday, and my mommies are going off shopping. They take these environment friendly green bags to carry all the goodies they buy us. A few years ago the government outlawed the then national flower - the plastic bag! If humans want these plastic bags they must pay for them! I prefer these green bags and I can't wait for my beans to come home every Saturday to see what they brought home for me!

If I/we behave myself/ourselves, I wonder if we can go with on the picnic? Oh well, I will just sit here in the coolerbag and wait. Do you think they will see the mistake? I mean, how long must I wait - this was a photo of me a year ago! :)

Cape Town, my Cape Town

OK, So my mommy must make amends now for what she did yesterday. Does she not know that she scared all my furry friends out there? So, I sent her out with a camera and told her that she must take some photos of our neighbourhood to post over the long weekend. See, because this coming Tuesday is a public holiday in South Africa, being the "Day of Reconciliation", she thought that she will just kick off her shoes and lay on the couch reading - because she asked for the day off on Monday as well. I mean really! Do I have to do all the thinking around here? And if she thinks she is going to tease me the whole long weekend, she's got another thing coming! Both my mommies are off, so there will be hips to lay on, toes to nibble!

Right, the photo above was not technically taken by my mommy, but because it is so beautiful I have allowed her to include it! It is a stunning photo of Table Mountain!

Help, I need some kitty's help, help......

I am sending this to everyone who sends me email.

One of you sent a virus.

It is a very severe virus.

Look what it did to my mouse.

OK, sorry furry friends, the above is all my mommies fault. All because I asked her to help me with my blog. I know she is very, very busy at work and all that - but really to come and do this on MY blogspot. No self respecting cat would do this. I will now just go off and sulk in my little corner on my little own self.

Look into my eyes....

When humans look into our eyes they think we are only adoring them, when in fact all we are saying is "Food, please".

FOOD!

The current flavour of the month - Hills Science Plan. We love the Hairball, Oral Care, Indoor Cat - in fact, we LOVE everything that our mommies can get from Hills! We just can't get enough of it. And the bonus is for the goldie oldies the food is soft enough for them old teeth! My mommies say that the extra, extra bonus is that we well all be very healthy and we will all be lean cats. Well, not me - yet.......

Sunday afternoons

Ai, just had a quick nap. A quick wash.
Hmmmmm, what is that I hear?
Tommy has learnt this trick of opening doors which is very handy, especially if food is involved!

Are words needed?

Tommy, the apple guardian

Shrek's every day view!

When I am not snuggled up on top of my favourite green blanket on top of my siblings on top of the cupboard...... this is the view out of my window that I enjoy every day - the world famous Table Mountain. I faithfully sit in the window sill and wait for my mommies safe return. That's naturally when I do have the energy to stretch myself off the cupboard. (That's Jerry still in the background saying: "Yes, right, you just get off when there's food".

Oh, and to all my new furry friends out there, my mommies have read all your comments and I am pretty chuffed that little me now has so many new furries from all over! I must still visit all your sites, which I might only get to over the weekend.

This is me with Sheba, Tom and Jerry on top of the cupboard on our favourite blanket - our early morning snooze..... Our mommies have threatened to clean our blanket, but they must just DARE!
